On the 5th May 2017 Blue River played a gig at the Fiddler’s Elbow in Camden Town, London. On the back of having played previously in London at Kernow In The City, this was the band’s first outing in their own right in the big city, breaking away from their Cornish roots to play in one of London’s iconic musical suburbs!

Given the importance of this step in the band’s constantly progressive journey it was decided that the occasion needed to be documented! So, accompanied by videographer Daniel Philbrooks (who has worked on videos for both We Fall In Love and Face of God) and Connor Wilson Blue River set off on their journey to Camden!

‘Cheap Champagne’ is the documentary that intimately follows Blue River from the early morning coach boarding and mind numbing 7 hr road trip to the bright lights and loud crowds of one of Camden’s most famous music venues. So please, grab a beer, turn up your speakers, sit back and enjoy the film:
